Keynote Speaker
We are excited to announce Dr Rosemarie Hemmings as 2026 keynote speaker!
Dr. Rosemarie Hemmings has a master’s in social work and a Ph.D. in Public Health. With over 30 years of experience as a clinical social worker and clinical supervisor, Dr. Hemmings has been in private practice as a psychotherapist for over 20 years and currently owns a group practice in Beaverton where she focuses on the mental health of Black, Indigenous, Latina/x/o and other people of color communities. Her experience includes Assistant Professor in Public Health Dentistry and Director of Social Work at OHSU School of Dentistry. She has developed and taught an innovative inter-professional curriculum related to social determinants of health, health equity, and social justice. Her professional and lived experiences, along with her service on various Oregon State boards and committees, have strengthened her commitment to health equity and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their best possible health outcomes.
About the Event
ORCHWA’s Annual Conference is a signature event that brings together CHWs, CHW supervisory staff, health systems, community-based organizations, other traditional health workers, and CHW allies to discuss community health, connection, and the current state of the CHW workforce. This event creates opportunities for continued learning and professional development, while promoting the impactful and amazing role CHWs play in public health, health systems, and the broader community.
